Jerry Rhoda (10/1948-06/2013) was a really terrific person, artist, and volunteer, who lovingly taught clay printmaking and art workshops to youth for Art Sphere Inc. at Northern Liberties Recreation Center and Fishtown Recreation Centers.
Patient and thoughtful, he encouraged kids to do their finest artwork, not just making projects but creating masterpieces. Having studied with Mitch Lyons and at Wheaton College, he shared high level art skills to inner city kids in afterschool and summer programs. He will be remembered fondly by our volunteers, partners, staff, and youth. Jerry will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts for having the playfulness and kindness we all loved.
