The students at Towey designed a special valentine day card along with a fortune cookie with their own message inside. We started off by tracing their hand & arm on craft paper and then proceeded to cut them out. Next, we cut out some hearts to design the card as well as one to attach to the hand. After finishing the cards, they all wrote their messages and placed it inside of the fortune cookie. Overall, I have to say that this project was pretty straight forward, but I would definitely try playing some mediation music during the session because the students were a bit too excited and rough this week. The reason why I am mentioning the music is because it worked so well with the students at Penn Treaty. The most important thing is that everyone did the project and had fun and us teachers maintained our patience with them the entire time.
