I got rosebuds, leafy green flowers, portabella mushrooms, and bell peppers.
I sliced the peppers in half and cut the mushrooms into smaller wedges.
2. I then dispersed different color washable paint onto paper plates.
3. The kids were each given one object to practice stamping within different colors.
Assistant teachers went around helping each student to make the correct motion to stamp and not to mush the paint around on the paper.
ReflectionOnce the kids seemed confident in their abilities, they were given a larger piece of paper and more creative freedom. They were encouraged to try each object and different colors to create a masterpiece. The final pieces were beautiful abstract pieces of art.
