On our last day with the elementary students at Shissler Recreation Center, we decided to do something a little different… we made animals out of marshmallows and pretzels!
The kids also took did the “Marshmallow Challenge”. They worked in groups of two or three; using only spaghetti, tape, string, and a marshmallow they had to build the tallest tower they could but the marshmallow had to be the highest point. After getting to know each other over the last few weeks in art class, the students worked well together!
The majority of the class however was spent building the marshmallow animals, and the students were very creative with what they decided to make! Check out more of their creations below.
