Materials: Safety cut carving blocks, linoleum knives, papyrus, wood dowels, ink brayers, stamps, pads, alphabet charts, block printing press, tape
Procedures:
Day 1
- Anticipatory Set: Show examples of Egyptian tomb paintings from Cleopatra and King Tut.
- Have students write their names in hieroglyphs using hieroglyphic charts.
- Cut out linoleum with the Egyptian alphabet to make cartouche.
