Narthex

Narthex

In a church, the narthex is the entrance or lobby area, based in the far end of the main altar.

Nave

The nave is the central isle of the church, commonly known as the main entry way that leads to the altar.

Neoclassical

A European and American architecture style that was inspired by the ruins of the Roman and Greek. Some common elements found in Neoclassical architecture are symmetry, even-spaced windows, columns, and be one to two and a half stories high.

Nomadic Tents

Norman

The Norman term is applied to buildings that were upraised, or lifted, by the Normans throughout the lands that were dominated by them. These lands include locations in England, Northern France, and Southern Italy (including Sicily).
