The Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day for America, celebrates the Declaration of Independence that separated the colonies from England on July 4th, 1776. The Declaration of Independence is what led to the United States of America, and was signed by the “Founding Fathers” such as Benjamin Franklin and John Adams, as well as other members of Congress.
Today, we celebrate the Fourth of July with parades, barbecues, parties and fireworks. Use the handout below to learn how to draw your own fireworks!
