Corporate Partner Programs

Want a satisfying volunteer experience that you can share with others?

Try a wonderful two-to-three-hour volunteer experience preparing projects for Art Sphere classes! Bring your work buddies and friends to help make a difference.

Art Sphere serves over 1,000 youth a year with engaging Art Workshops. We seek volunteers who would like to come together with others to help pre-package important learning tools for our high demand Art Workshops for inner-city youth.

Some of the children we serve have difficulty with small motor skills that inhibit them from completing or even conceptualizing art projects. When we pre-assemble art projects, we give our kids a head start in learning to follow directions, helping them complete the work and providing a measure of satisfaction for each child.

The act of completing a project raises students’ self-esteem, gives them something they can be proud of and meaningful hands-on learning that they will remember.

ANSWERS TO COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We work with small and large corporations, and also clubs, religious institutions and college groups.

Volunteers help ASI teachers by prepping projects for our students who would like to work with their hands, sorting projects and organizing art materials. We generally prep in sets of 25 as that is the average class size. Activities include cutting, folding, and sorting projects, organizing art materials and assembling art bags. Alternatively, corporate groups can bring their computers and work on digital projects.

It’s a wonderful feeling to know that you have helped children expand their horizons. Our team liked having an opportunity work with our hands, get to know co-workers in a relaxed environment and also learn a new craft to teach friends and family members.”

WHEN

Typically we schedule groups to work in our office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, scheduled in half-day increments of three hours: 9-12; 10-1 or 1-4.

We generally schedule groups in September, December, January and June. Please let ASI know a few weeks in advance of when you would like to schedule.

This helps us prepare for ASI’s busy time teaching four semesters a year (from early July to mid-August, mid-October to mid-December, mid-January to March, and April to mid-June).
