At Towey, the theme was scary bugs. The students each created their own big, scary insect with paper, scissors, and crayons. Rather than just be a flat cutout, the students made the bugs’ wings 3D, which made them look more realistic and impressive. They also created beach themed drawings, complete with umbrellas that popped out from the page. 3D projects are always fun to make, and our students get really creative with how they work with making something stick out from the page. I think it makes the whole project a lot more fun when they experiment with making things stand out, and it allows them to highlight their work.
