Out of this world mural was completed during the summer of 2014. It was part of an outer space curricula that was taught during Fishtown Recreation Centers summer camp. The students picked out what imagery they wanted to see on the mural. They helped paint the blue background along the bottom, and also painted some of the stars.
Check out the progress shots!
It took a lot of blue paint and some really tall ladders to get the entire background painted.
The students did a great job painting the background!
One of our volunteers was very excited to help paint some of the planets.
One of the students added some extra comets and another rocket ship.
We used paper plates to make stencil stars so every student could add their own final touch.
We had a fun filled last day, and everyone enjoyed working together on this mural!
