It was my second time volunteering at Towey, but this time was a little different. Instead of painting basketball courts on a sweltering day, I made cards for soldiers and seniors. I started at the table by myself and as the day progressed, more characters showed up: a sassy little girl and her grandma, three siblings playing around, and a sweet couple knocking eachother’s lack of art skills; I didn’t converse with anyone, but I didn’t have to talk to them to see where their hearts were coming from. We were all there to give love to those who may not have a daily dose of it. So spread the love and give thanks!
