During this tough time, many of us are experiencing challenging emotions and anxieties. For kids and grown-ups alike, navigating these stresses can be difficult. One way we can process our emotions is through illustration and meditation.
Take some time to work through both of these handouts below if you are feeling overwhelmed. The first handout addresses the range of emotions we may feel during the day/week/month, and the other uses a guided breathing and mindfulness exercise as a literal and figurative framing device for a self-portrait.
Be expressive and creative with these prompts! Use crayons, markers, charcoal, pencil, or collage to fill them out. In times of anxiety, taking some time in your day to devote to art and/or any creative practice can be a great way to alleviate stress.
