New Caledonia is in Oceania, with a population of 284,000 people. The capital of New Caledonia is Noumea. The currency used is the CFP Franc (XPF). There are roughly 40 different languages spoken in New Caledonia, some popular ones being French, Nengone, Paici, Ajie, and Drehu.
New Caledonia is roughly the size of New Jersey but offers a much more tropical environment. The whole island is surrounded by one of the worlds largest lagoons.
