The Sahara Desert spans some 8,600,000 square kilometres. However, this changes over time as the actual area of the desert expands and contracts with the seasons.
Western Sahara was involved in the Eastern Sahara War against Morocco.
Western Sahara is in Nothern Africa, has a population of 570 thousand, uses the Moroccan dirham and their capital is Laayoune. Their official Language is Arabic.
