The Comoros got its name from the Arabic word for ‘moon’ which sounds like “qamar”. The moon is also depicted in the Comoros flag.
The main industries in the Comoros are fishing, tourism and perfume distillation.
The Comoros is in Africa, with a population of 0.85 million people. It’s capital is Moroni, and their currency is Comorian franc (KMF). The official languages spoken in Comorian, French, and Arabicis.
