National Landmarks: The Mark Twain House & Museum was the home of the late author Samuel Clemens, who’s pen name was Mark Twain. The house was built in 1893-1894, and Mark Twain lived there for about 17 years with his family. It is a Victorian Gothic mansion with 25 rooms. There, he would write many of his famous novels.
