National Gingerbread House Day

National Gingerbread House Day celebrates the use of gingerbread in religious ceremonies. Gingerbread was originated from Armenia. It was brought to Europe by Gregory of Nicopolis, an Armenian monk, around 992 AD and taught French Christians to bake it.
