World Water Day is observed on March 22 to highlight the importance of freshwater. This day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
Do you know :
Less than 3% of the world’s water is fresh – the rest is seawater and undrinkable.
Of this 3% over 2.5% is frozen, locked up in Antarctica, the Arctic and glaciers, and
not available for human consumption.
Thus humanity must rely on this 0.5% for all of man’s and ecosystem’s fresh water needs.
So let’s save water today to make a better world for tomorrow.
