The students at Penn Treaty learned how to do one point and two point perspective drawing in order to grasp the concept creating something that is three dimensional. We started off with drawing the horizon line while explaining to them how it represents their eye level. Next, we added the vanishing point which is where all parallel lines meet up sort of like a triangle. As the shapes started to form, they darken those lines while erasing the other ones in order t stay on track and avoid confusion. One thing I have to mention is that most of the students were working very fast because they wanted to play outside at the Recreation center since it was nice weather. Only one student actually did a two point perspective drawing this time using two vanishing points. Overall, I have to say that the students quickly got concept down even though their minds were somewhere else. I really like how these students are open and willing to learn about art.
