Hi there! My name is Rebecca Mah, and I recently graduated from Tyler School of Art with a degree in Graphic and Interactive Design. I am currently working full time as a graphic designer in center city but love helping out with Art Sphere in my free time. Although I only joined the team recently, I did get to create project instruction illustrations and an appendix for the Creating Legacies through Art book.
I am originally from New Jersey, but I have been living in Philadelphia for over 4 years now and very much consider it my home. When I’m not working, I like to spend my time exploring different areas of the city, reading thriller novels, learning new recipes, and unwinding with yoga.
Growing up, my parents were always very supportive of my interest in art, which is why I think it is so important to promote creative thinking and why I think Art Sphere is such a great organization! I am also glad that I got to collaborate with my Mom on this project since she was the one to encourage my interest in art. In a way, we are creating legacies of our own by improving the accessibility of art education for others. I look forward to seeing the finished products of our team’s efforts on Creating Legacies through Art: Take an Art Journey and working with Art Sphere on future projects!
