It was a lot more fun being an assistant teacher than I expected! At Glavin Recreation Center, I helped Monica and the kids with a tape-resistant watercolor painting project. The kids made designs on their papers with tape and then painted over them with water color. The paint had to take time to dry so we didn’t get to see the final project, but with how much fun everyone was having I bet they turned out great!
At Shissler Recreation Center, we did a self-portrait project with the kids. We had them write their names and a hobby they enjoy and then draw themselves doing that thing! A lot of the kids didn’t know what to write but it was fun helping them decide.
