Last Sunday, ASI volunteers participated in Family Day at the Bok Bar! Our volunteers brought marigold seed packets and foldable houses to decorate. The seeds were wrapped in coloring sheets and we let our imaginations decide which color our flowers would be on paper. When finished, we told everyone to plant the seeds at home to see what color their flowers really are! We gave them a heads up — they are most likely yellow or orange.
Then we began designing our houses. We explained that houses are sometimes made of brick, stone, or wood, and explored ways to illustrate these textures. However, some children let their imaginations take control and colored their houses using many colors of the rainbow!
Join us at the Bok Bar on Sunday, September 2 from 2-5pm for more projects!
