We let the younger kids at Glavins decorate paper butterflies with shapes and taught them how to draw a triangle, rectangle, and square. Some of them were having a hard time creating these shapes so we held their hands to help them draw.
It was a pleasure seeing them play with each other with their butterflies and even giving them names.
Next, we moved on to letting them color bunnies. A lot of the kids were fascinated by their furry tails. While they are coloring parts of the bunnies, we introduced to them each body parts the animal has such as long ears, W- shapes mouth, fingernails, etc. One of them told me a story of how her dad has rabbits as pets.
