Imprinting Fall

Autumn is near, and Towey is ready to enjoy some leaves. This week the students created their own fall leaves with paint, crayons, and leaves from outside. They placed the paper over the leaf and used a crayon or paint to go over it. This allowed the outlines of the leaf to be imprinted onto the paper. They were able to do this all different colors and sizes and shapes of leaves.

It’s always fun to do a stenciling project because the students can see the fine details of a leaf. They can also make their own leaves as colorful and creative as possible. They are never limited to just a basic outline of the leaf. The students had a lot of fun with this project and they were able to leave with their 1st fall decorations to hang up.
