GET READY FOR HALLOWEEN

Are you getting into the swing of back-to-school this Fall? We sure are! We have lots of fun art projects to help you decorate with leaves, pumpkins and more for the holidays for your office door, home table top or school display. Make your own decorations using Art Sphere’s handouts.

Does listening to the wind, crickets and cicadas inspire your inner musician or are you looking for a new creative outlet?  We have brand new videos that make learning easy to do on entrepreneurism, cooking and music.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Please share our mission with others and consider making a donation to help us continue to provide our high-quality art programs for youth in underserved neighborhoods. Donations of $28 will buy art supplies for 5 children in our classes; $100 will buy materials for 4 Art Bags for families to take home; $550 will pay for a stipend for one semester for our much-loved teaching interns. By donating here to our local Philadelphia organization, your money will go right back into the community. Thank you.

Halloween is right around the corner! Make your own decorations using the Art Sphere handouts.

Use the ASI handouts to learn how you can learn how to start a small business manage your budget throughout the year and reduce expenses to save money for a home, retirement, and everything in between.

Have fun writing music lyrics and scores as well as illustrate and write books using the ASI Virtual Desktop.

Want to go deeper into musical instruments and learn about the history and culture that has influenced what we have listened to in our Music History series. Check out our newest video about the History of the Drums.

To broaden our offerings, we are using African Folk Tales and Black Storytelling to teach financial literacy with the goal of lessening the gap in economic disparities in Philadelphia’s Black community. Each project is outlined with easy-to-follow instructions and can be completed with low-cost materials.

Another new program helps teens learn how to start a small business, manage a budget throughout the year and reduce expenses to save money for the future.

Art Sphere believes that teaching about other cultures helps kids to make connections from their own lives to the lives of their peers and provides opportunities to appreciate the diversity of our world.

Celebrate Travel with us virtually to explore Panama and celebrate National Hispanic Heritage and Latino Month.

Join ASI teacher, Voa, and learn to understand the basic structures of drawing: line and shapes! His series demonstrates how to break down complicated objects into easy-to-understand lines and shapes to understand their anatomy and then spends some time drawing and painting animals to demonstrate these concepts in just 10 minutes.

While you are shopping this holiday season you can also help us to continue our important and educational art programs directed at underserved communities.

Our students will be designing houses this Fall as well as making their own marigold seed packets, origami frog, 3-D paper boat projects and more. What’s in your secret garden?

Design your own construction paper mixed media collage pop-up sandwich or burger and start learning what it would be like to own a restaurant. What would you call your sandwich or burger? What secret ingredients would it have that would make it special?  How much would it cost and how would you advertise it? What would be the name of your restaurant?

We are so proud to promote our High School Teaching Assistants. We get them involved in events and in the news so they can be recognized for all the positivity they bring into our classrooms and mentor our younger students.

ASI’s meditation Zen board was a big hit this summer as students worked together to create collaborative paintings as quickly as possible before the water evaporated.
ASI has always been concerned about the lack of access to and cutbacks in funding for the cultural arts in the inner city. Art Sphere provides FREE
art instruction and art supplies to inner-city youth who often have fewer opportunities to take art classes. Here, they learn how to creatively solve problems and express themselves.

Perhaps you would like to volunteer your time? Do you have 1 hour a week for 10 weeks to lead an Arts Workshop for youth who may not have access to art in their schools or in life? If yes, then contact us

YOU can be a part of Art Sphere’s mission in “Transforming Lives through the Arts.” Art Sphere provides FREE art instruction and supplies to inner-city youth who often have fewer opportunities to take art classes. We would like to take a moment to thank our partners, communities and The Genesis Inspiration Foundation for supporting Art Sphere Inc.’s mission.
