June 28th was our first summer session this year with Northern Liberties! Students made paper hand puppets and stages as well as drawings this week!

Silhouettes can be found on a wide range of art objects, such as ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, Greek vases, Italian cameos, French locket paintings, and colonial American portrait miniatures. In this workshop, the students drew each other’s profiles and painted desert landscapes to learn about silhouettes.
