Meet Alyssa Laverda!

IMG_1944 Hello Everyone! My name is Alyssa Laverda and I a recent graduate of the Coordinated BFA program with the Pennsylvania  Academy of the Fine Arts and the University of Pennsylvania.  I received my Certificate in Painting from PAFA in 2013, and  studied  a minor in Art History at Penn finishing in December of 2014.  I am originally from West Chester, but reside now in Old  City.  Currently I am working at Seraphin Gallery at 1108 Pine Street in Philadelphia. I previously worked as a Research Assistant for the Institute of Contemporary Art, and co-curated an exhibit that is now on display  from April 22, 2015 – August 16, 2015.  The show is entitled Do/Tell and brings together the works of Heather Hart, Rachelle  Mozman, Adoma Owusu, and local artist Erin Bernard.  It is located on 36th street in West Philadelphia, its free, and I encourage  everyone to go and view it! My interests include sailing, hiking, painting, playing the piano and violin– and of course being a ‘Champion for Urban City Youth’.  I am helping out in the areas of grant writing, social media campaigns, and any other writing/research tasks that need to be completed.  So please feel free to contact me by email at: alyssa.j.laverda@gmail.com.  I am happy to talk about ASI, complete tasks, and/or network.  It is such a pleasure working with all of you and my congratulations on all the hard work that everyone puts in. Cheers!
