Filtering Salt Content
Function:
Your body has two kidneys. These bean-shaped organs are responsible for filtering the water and salts from your blood. In this process, pee is released and your blood volume and pressure are regulated.
Fun Fact:
Kidneys filter a half-cup of blood every minute, which works out to be 45 gallons of blood per day—or enough to fill a small bathtub.
