Nose

A Breath of Fresh Air

Function:

Take a deep breath. You might be able to smell all kinds of things, like the spices from food your mother cooked or maybe the odor of a dirty sock. Your nose allows you to smell these things! It also protects your respiratory system. The little hairs in your nose block bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens that could enter and damage your body.

Lastly, what do we do every second of our lives? The answer is breathing. You have to use your nose to breathe.

Fun Fact:

A single sneeze makes 40,000 droplets, travels up to 20 miles per hour, and creates a 5’ spray radius.
