Function:
The gallbladder is a pear-shaped, hollow organ located under the liver on the right side of your abdomen. Its primary function is to store and concentrate bile, a yellow-brown digestive enzyme produced by the liver that helps break down any fatty foods you eat.
Fun Fact:
Gallstones are very common, particularly in women. About one in four women and one in eight men develop gallstones at some stage in their life.
