  • Interesting Facts: He is known as the queer Rococo of our time.

Salman Toor moved to the United States for college, where he studied painting and drawing at Ohio Wesleyan University and received his MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He now works and lives out of New York City. He is known for his contemporary paintings being “funny, insightful and not afraid of get[ting] personal” from Artnet News. Toor has studied the old masters for years in school however, he said that you can copy the old masters forever which was why he stopped and branched out to doing works of his own.
