How to Make a Portfolio

In order to showcase your work, the best way to do so is broadcasting your own portfolio. You can show off your skills in a unique, but professional way. This will help others learn more about you through your work and hopefully lead to you doing business with them. Allowing easy access to showcasing your work allows you to grow as an artist.

When creating a portfolio, there are two options: using a template or creating your own. There are many websites out there that have custom-made portfolio templates, and all you need to do is upload your work and put in your information. It is encouraged that those in digital arts create their own portfolio from scratch to show authenticity from the start. Your work is already broadcasted to your audience before they see the work you can do! As for the content of your portfolio, choosing your best work helps the audience know what you are capable of when you put in the time and effort to create your work.

The images of your products should be high quality and you portfolio doesn’t need to have many pictures. As long as you have a few pictures that show your best work, they will capture the attention of your audience. Your work should be unique and stand out from other artists. Thinking outside of the box helps whether it be your art itself or how you present it.It should promote who you are as a person and the type of art you create.

When working on the writing portion of your portfolio, it would be ideal to write a short introduction about yourself. Your audience will get a feel about the type of person you are and what inspired you to create your art.
You need to include a contact page with your contact information. It will allow easy access to contacting you if someone decides they want to know more about your work or even partner up with you!
