Practicing Abstract Art at Penn Treaty!

We introduced the idea of abstract art before we moved into creating zentangles.

The students were to notice that abstract art does not aim to represent an actual thing or object in real life.

We had each student sit across the room so that they could not see each other’s papers.

We read a set of directions that guided the students to draw different shapes and lines of different sizes across their papers. Once the students were done they could look at each other’s papers and see how different they were even though they followed the same set of directions.
