Foam Emojis and Pipe Cleaner Friendship Bracelets

Students cut out over sized foam emojis to represent how they were feeling.

We used self-stick foam to make this a quick and easy project for students to do as an icebreaker.

Students each told us a story about their weekend.

When the story was sad we raised the the sad emojis. And when the student said something good to say we raised the happy emoji .

In this way, students were able to use there creativity to practice good listening, show compassion and validate one an other. This activity really helped us bond as a class!
