We used self-stick foam to make this a quick and easy project for students to do as an icebreaker.
Students each told us a story about their weekend.
When the story was sad we raised the the sad emojis. And when the student said something good to say we raised the happy emoji .
In this way, students were able to use there creativity to practice good listening, show compassion and validate one an other. This activity really helped us bond as a class!
Students used foam to make garden scenes collages on blue construction paper cutting and gluing green construction paper fringe for grass.
With one person holding the end while the other braiding they further worked as teams.
