Anticipatory Set: Discussion on Turkeys and how they are important at Thanksgiving.

Demo/Directions:

  1. Had a bag of cut out foam pieces
  2. Give each child all the pieces of a turkey: Body, feathers, beak, waddle, and eyes
  3. Have the children glue the turkey together

Discussion:

  1. Identifying the different parts of the turkey’s body

The children were proud of the turkeys they created.
