Materials: glue, scissors, construction paper, clothes pin, pencil

Anticipatory Set: Discussion on birds

Demo/Directions:

1. Draw an egg and bird into construction paper and cut them out

2. Glue one part of the cracked egg onto the bottom of the clip and the other cracked egg piece onto the top of the clip.

3. Glue the bird on the bottom half of the egg.

Discussion: Life applications; how the lesson might apply to non-art related experiences or other types of knowledge.

  1. What is a bird’s role in the environment?
  2. How are birds born?
